"Through the years and my visits to different countries; especially Mexico, I was inspired by the shapes, colours, people, beliefs, nature and animals. In most of my works you will see Mexican influences mixed with Asian influences and other cultures and beliefs. That is how I came up with the idea to make a collection "Colours of life", which consists of art with glass beads on multiple decorations and interior objects. I replace the painters cloth for real skulls / objects and replace the paint with a new medium 1mm / 4mm glass beads poured with epoxy paint.
One of my challenges is to turn an everyday - perhaps boring object - into a colourful artistic piece, something you can not ignore. In addition, I want to show what else is possible and I try to blow a second new life in this way.
I want to show the world what kind of beauty you can create when you bring everything together, by mixing colours, influences of people, animals, cultures, beliefs and forms, you get a unique artistic eye-catcher! I will definitely release a certain feeling from the viewer, so I associate my art with: Art with a wink!"

Nadine van Gestel
Born 26-05-1977 in Goirle / Netherlands
I had the opportunity to see and discover a lot of the world at an early age, because of these experiences I have gained a lot of inspiration and I saw how beautiful the world can be.
For me, painting is an expression of the soul and my emotion, as it were a diary in color. I often outline my paintings with texts, these are often words about the painting. I write them backwards, this is because I am left-handed, if I would write normally, I wipe the ink with my own hand!
The lines of the words can also be seen as a frame around the painting.
Look, read, think, enjoy, fantasies ... and experience!

Venetia Syms
Born 17-11-1990 in Belfast, Northern Ireland
Venetia graduated from the Heatherley’s School of Fine Art with a diploma in portraiture in 2014. Prior to this she studied traditional skills for one year at an atelier in Florence and subsequently attended the University College Falmouth where she studied drawing.
Her paintings have been shown at a number of exhibitions since graduating and she appeared as a contestant on the Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the year 2015 program. In 2016 her project was painting in Zimbabwe for 5 months where she had a solo show in Harare, which features her 'Balancing Rock' series. In September 2017 she won the Bath and West Art Scholarship for which she exhibited her work on the Brecon Beacons at the show in summer 2018.
‘’Having in the past painted in a more formal manner, I have intentionally developed over time a more contemporary style using some of the traditional disciplines. I enjoy experimenting and developing my style through the medium of the natural world. My work is inspired by my love of dramatic beauty. My style is bold both in the use of colour and handling of paint. I love exploring the effects of texture, colour and light on my subject. Seeking atmosphere, I work in varying degrees of abstraction. My process involves applying layers of colour and texture to create a fearless statement, 'celebrating' nature with a 'celebration' of colour. I love the frenzy and excitement that comes from a large, mixed palette of colour, finding tonal harmonies amongst the chaos.’’
